An Interview with MillionTo1 Mentor Cassidy Anderson

The courageous Cassidy Anderson teaches our goal-getting course on Monday evenings. She sat down with the MTo1 Founder, Carmen Schober, for a quick interview.

CS: Hi Cassidy!

CA: Hi Carmen!

CS: Woo, another interview!

CA: Party time.

CS: Indeed. Time for my first question. How old are you?

CA: 20 going on 21.

CS: And one of the most mature almost 21 year olds I know. Where are you from?

CA: Broomfield, Colorado.

CS: Ah, the mountains. I’m jealous of your birthplace. Anywho, as you know, all MillionTo1 Mentors have 2 things in common. They smash goals, and they're amazing teachers. Tell me a little bit about your teaching background.

CA: I co-taught University Experience last year as a Learning Assistant, and I’ve been a Sunday School teacher for multiple ages for years.

CS: I’m telling you, the best teachers teach Sunday School at some point. It’s where you learn pretty much everything you need to know – how provide inspirational content, snacks, cotton ball crafts, and prevent biting all at the same time. Tell the world about your experience with MillionTo1 thus far.

CA: This past summer you and I met to talk about me being a part of MillionTo1. I started writing articles for the site, I then I took the class and experienced the amazingness for myself, and now have become a mentor and an advocate for MillionTo1!

CS: Yas to all of that. I’m beyond excited for you to be a mentor. Why exactly do you want to teach the MillionTo1 Goal-Getting Course?

CA: Because I want to inspire people, and I want to change people’s lives for the better. I want to be able to help people achieve the things they never thought they could because I believe in them, and they believe in themselves.

CS: Hellz yeah. That’s what we do. What’s a goal you smashed in 2016?

CA: I saved up enough money to buy my own puppy! I also got 2 articles published, and submitted my first article to “The Mighty”.

CS: What!! All the goals. So what’s the biggest risk you are going to take in 2017? As you know, risk-taking is necessary for even more progress.

CA: This year I want to go after what I really want to do – even if it means some huge professional changes – and not let fear of failing hold me back.

CS: Amen to a life with less fear. Any goal-smashing tips?

CA: Definitely don’t give up. Also, you have to believe in yourself, even when nobody else does. And it is really important to find a support group so you have people to lean on when you are in a rough patch.

CS: Truth. I’ve got two more questions, just for fun. What’s the sound you love the most?

CA: My nephew’s laughter.

CS: Cute! My nephew sounds like a rubber duck. It’s adorable. Question #2: If you could live in any TV home, what would it be?

CA: Chip & Joanna Gaines' farm house!

CS: That was clearly too easy. I thought of one more important one. What’s your favorite inspirational quote?

CA: “For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7.

CS: Preach it, sister.
